Johnny L. Byrd

Funeral Services for Johnny L. Byrd, 89, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Center Point Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Pastor Ricky Boone and Pastor Wesley Coleman officiating. Interment will follow in Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Byrd was born September 19, 1930 and passed away July 4, 2020. He was a member of Center Point Baptist Church and was a devout Christian. Mr. Byrd was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force and he was stationed in Puerto Rico.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Annie Byrd; and siblings, Clifford Byrd, Cleo McBroom, Kathryn French, Dillard Byrd, Hulan Byrd and Alvie Byrd.

Survivors include his wife, Josie Byrd; daughter, Laura Annette Byrd (Ken); sons, John Wade Byrd (Tamara), and Ben Hampton Byrd (Belinda); granddaughter, Amanda Byrd and Amber Coleman (Wesley); grandsons, Tristan Brownlee (Brandy), Carey Stringer, and Justin Jordan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Center Point Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA.
