Johnnie S. Lucas, Jr.

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Johnnie S. Lucas, Jr., 75, of Calhoun, LA, will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 5, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Danny Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hurricane Grove Cemetery in Sikes, LA. Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday.

Johnnie was born December 25, 1945 and passed away on November 3, 2021. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Johnnie enjoyed horses, team roping, and fishing. He served his community in law enforcement with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office and the West Monroe Police Department, retiring in 2011.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Lucas, Sr. and Lillie Luton Lucas; wife, Patricia Ann Willis Lucas; sister, Sarah Jane Boucherie; and brother, Buster Lucas.

Survivors include his two daughters, Kathy Richey and husband Derik, and LeeAnn Cragg; three grandchildren, Hailee Grace Moffett, Garrett Lucas Parker, and Olivia Wren Parker; two sisters, Lillie Maude Simmons and husband Daryl, and Beverly Ann Nielsen and husband Frank; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Terrell, Stan Hayden, Chris Sasser, Debs Laird, Bobby Avery, and Jerry Stansbury. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the West Monroe Police Department and Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Memorials may be made to the West Monroe Police Department Association.
