Johnnie Frances Enloe

Johnnie Frances Enloe, affectionately known as JoMammy, was born on February 26, 1944, in Louisiana, and passed away peacefully January 31, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and creativity. A lifelong resident of Louisiana, Johnnie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She was known for her unwavering love for Jesus Christ, her family, and her passion for artistic expression.

Johnnie’s artistic soul thrived in painting and various other forms of art, where she found joy in creating beauty in many mediums. Her love for learning about people and the world around her was evident in her curiosity and warm spirit. Above all, she cherished her family, and she deeply enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Maydale Enloe, and her beloved sister, Jan.

Johnnie is survived by her daughters, Angel Williams (Jesse, aka. Poncho) and Kelly Vorst (Paul); her grandchildren, Jessica Hendricks (Kyle), Caroline Williams, Micah Vorst (Colleen), and Josiah Vorst (Mariel); and her great-grandchildren, Dylan Clampit & Finley Kate Hendricks, Adeline Williams, Maxwell and Lincoln Vorst. She also leaves behind her sisters, Sandra O'Dell (Gary) and Cathey Huber, (Jimmy), along with many extended family and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

To the dedicated staff at Landmark Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, thank you for being not only caregivers, but also companions during her journey. Your emotional support, kindness, and dedication provided much needed comfort and peace, and for that, we are grateful.

JoMammy took great joy in contributing her handcrafted creations to the Transformations Thrift Store in W. Monroe, a cause close to her heart. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to this meaningful ministry, which plays a vital role in our community.

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate and remember her life will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Thursday, February 6, 2025 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
