John Wade Byrd

Funeral Services for Mr. John Wade Byrd, 58, of Eros, LA, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, July 30, 2021, at Center Point Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, with Bro. Wesley Coleman, Bro. Tony Cassels, and Rev. Ricky Boone officiating. Interment will follow in Center Point Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

John Wade Byrd was born on September 14, 1962, in West Monroe, LA, and went to meet his Lord on July 25, 2021, in Houston, TX. Our “John Boy” loved to hunt, but fishing was his passion. His work ethic and the way he cared for others (especially in his playful ways) marked his legacy. He loved the Lord and cherished his family more than anything and he will be forever missed and treasured in all of our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny and Josie Byrd.

Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Tamara Byrd; daughter, Amanda Byrd; sons, Justin Jordan (Dany), and Carey Stringer (Whitney); sister, Annette Byrd (Ken); brother, Ben Byrd (Belinda); niece, Amber Coleman (Wesley); nephew, Tristan Brownlee (Brandy); lifelong best friend, Vincent Guiterrez (Jill); five grandchildren; one great niece and two great nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Ben Byrd, Mark Hammons, James Burnaman, Nicky Hilburn, Wesley Coleman, and John Guiterrez.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
