John Edwin Skipworth, Jr.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Rev. John Edwin Skipworth, Jr., 45, of Choudrant, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, February 2, 2024, at The Assembly in West Monroe, LA, with Pastor Denny Duron officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service on Friday. 

John was born on January 26, 1979, in Shreveport, LA, and passed away suddenly on January 29, 2024.

John was a beloved pastor in this community for 17 years. He loved the lord, his family, hunting, motorcycles, and the occasional round of golf. He loved life and never met a stranger.

 He was preceded in death by his father, John Skipworth, Sr.  

Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Brenda Medlin Brown; his wife, Brooke Hibbard Skipworth; his loving children, Finley, Fisher, and Foster; his sister, Tamara Duran; niece, Demi Duran; and nephew, Dalton Duran. 

Pallbearers will be Cody Brown, Charles Brown, Phillip Williams, Donnie Williams, Peyton Barmore, and JW Martin. 

 Honorary Pallbearer will be Kyle Brown.
