Mr. Justice was born in Delhi, LA on August 19, 1932 to Lee Justice and Janie Weese Justice, the youngest of eleven children. He was preceded in death by all but one sister, Alpha Lee Justice Roy; and his oldest son, John L. Justice, Jr. He grew up, attended school, and worked in the North East Louisiana area. While serving in the Army National Guard, John then married, settled in Monroe, and began to raise his own family of eleven children. He and his wife, Dott, completed that task while residing in their family home, located in the Swartz community where they have lived and assisted with the population there for the past forty-eight years.
He was a faithful, active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church where he was fond of this church family and embraced the opportunity to be a part of a growing congregation. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. As a business man he worked as an auto body shop manager for many years before opening his own business as an appraiser. He was trusted and respected in both fields and found retirement a challenge as long as he was physically able to work. (So he did!)
