John "JD" David Lowery

Memorial services for John David “JD” Lowery, 75, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 20, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating.

Visitation will be 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 20, 2022.

Mr. Lowery was born on December 16, 1946, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Saturday, January 15, 2022, in St Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA.

J.D. was in the United States Army from 1967 to 1971 and served in Vietnam. He later became a private investigator and opened his own investigation agency. He always had a passion for horses and became a professional horse trainer, to which he loved. J.D. loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, riding horses, and hunting.

Mr. Lowery was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. and Maudine Lowery; Sister, Judy Foy; Brother-in-law, Richard Foy; Brother, Ronny Lowery; Nephews, Travis and Seth Lowery; and Granddaughter, Taylor Brooke Linder.

Survivors include his daughter, Tanya Lowery Deeds and husband James; Grandchildren, Cody Michael Linder and wife Valerie, Zachary David Lowery and wife Frances; Great Grandchildren, Cody Ray Linder, Taylor Grace Lowery, Haley Leevon Linder, and Sutton Elliott Lowery; Brother Dale Lowery and wife Joyce; and Sister- in-law Pam Lowery; and host of nieces and nephews.
