Memorial Services for John G. Griffin, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday September 1, 2012 at Calhoun Church of Christ with Keith Roberts officiating.
John G. Griffin was born April 28, 1928 in Ft. Worth, TX and died August 29, 2012 in Monroe, LA. He was a member of Calhoun Church of Christ, and enjoyed computers and fishing. Mr. Griffin was a WWII Veteran of the United States Navy. He is preceded in death by his children, John Griffin, Scott Griffin and Dennis Griffin; and by his brothers, Lewis Griffin, Jr. and Bob Al Griffin.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Griffin; children, Deborah Bickle and husband, Jerry, Kathy Thomas and Garrett Griffin and wife, Shawna; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Wroten, Sue Venator and Fern Belton; and sisters-in-law, Norma Griffin and Bobbie Ruth Griffin.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the church.
Memorials can be made to Calhoun Church of Christ, the Multiple Sclerosis Society or the American Cancer Society.
