John Fred Massingale

Funeral services for John Fred Massingale, 53, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 21, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.

Mr. Massingale was born in Monroe, LA on May 4, 1964 and passed away after a lengthy illness on October 17, 2017. John lived in Swartz; graduated from Ouachita Parish High School, class of 1982; continued his education at Delta Ouachita Vo-Tech, class of 1989; worked at Ford, Bacon and Davis and at Custom Equipment Design. John loved his family, his friends, his music, and his motorcycle.

John is preceded in death by his father, Sam Massingale.

John is survived by his loving mother, Frieda Massingale; son, Brandon Massingale; aunts, Alice P. Clark (Lee R), Rita Davis (Fisher Massingale) and Maxine Payne (Jimmy Payne); uncles, Eugene Brandon (Margaret), and George Massingale (Rosemary); and too many cousins and friends to mention.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:0 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
