Funeral service for Mr. John Carlton Williams, 90, of Bastrop, LA, will be held at 11:00AM Friday, December 27, 2013, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. Rubin Weaver officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Williams passed away on December 21, 2013 at the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Mr. Williams retired as a 1st Mate Pipeline Dredge Jadwin with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. After retirement Mr. Williams was known in Monroe area for his skills of building BBQ Pits.
Survivors include his two sons, Richard Dwayne Williams and wife Doris of Bastrop, LA; and his two daughters, DeJuana Harper of West Monroe, LA; and Jennifer McMeans and husband Brian of Flower Mound, TX; and Stephen L. Williams and wife Linda; his son, John C. Williams All of Texas; five great grandchildren; and brothers, Jim Williams, Charles Williams, Clyde Williams, Tommy Ray Williams, and Jerry Williams.
Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
