Joel T. Monnin, Jr.

Graveside services for Joel Thomas Monnin, Jr., 34, will be held at 11:30 A.M., Monday, August 14, 2023, at Lynn Cemetery in Archibald, Louisiana, with Lynn Ratcliff officiating.

He was born February 16, 1989, in Monroe, Louisiana, and passed away on August 9, 2023, in Calhoun, Louisiana.

Joey was a very kind and loyal man. He loved his family and friends. He would go above and beyond to help someone in need. He received his CDL last year and spent it driving across the country. He was making plans for a new job in North Dakota and had many new goals for the future. He will be greatly missed by all and forever in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edward and Dee Monnin, maternal grandparents, Sherwood and Myrene Tanner; father, Joel T. Monnin, Sr.; aunts, Cathy and Cindy Tanner.

Joey is survived by his loving mother, Sherri Barnhill; step-dad, Ricky Barnhill and Tammy; brother, Christopher Whitlock; nephew, Andrew Knox.  With a host of numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Bo Monnin, Trey Monnin, Caden Monnin, Eddie Lewis, Donald “Duck” Johnson, and Drew Tichel.
