Funeral services for Joe Fred Rosenberg, 71, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 8, 2018, at Temple B’Nai Israel, with Rabbi Judy Ginsburgh officiating. Interment will follow at the Jewish Cemetery, in Monroe, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Rosenberg was born May 30, 1947, in Bad Worishofen, Germany, and passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018, in Monroe, LA. Joe was a graduate and supporter of Neville High School and an avid supporter of ULM and LSU. He graduated with a Pharmacy Degree from NLU, now ULM, and practiced Pharmacy in New Orleans and Shreveport, and then came to Monroe and entered into business and opened Interstate Metals. Joe loved his family, eating lunch with his brothers every day, and going to the beach with his kids.
Mr. Rosenberg was preceded in death by his parents, Sol Rosenberg and Tola Baron Rosenberg.
Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Pamela Jean Rosenberg; children, Jonathan Rosenberg, and Rachel Thibodeaux and husband Clint; 2 brothers, Herman Rosenberg, and Jackie Rosenberg and wife Diane; 2 sisters, Jeannie Wermuth and husband Gary, and Terri Rosenberg.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Laudenheimer, George Campbell, Joe Kern, Jay Marx, Alex Hayward, Dickie Raymond, Roddy Rodrigue and Dr. Richard O’Donovan. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bayou Desiard Wednesday Night Poker Crew.
Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, June 7, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Memorials may be made to the Temple B’Nai Israel.
