Graveside services for Joe Edward Wilson, 84, of West Monroe, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday March 14, 2017 at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Hodge, LA, with Pastor Neil Oldham officiating.
Mr. Wilson was born on October 2, 1932 in Anadarko, Oklahoma, and passed away on March 11, 2017 in West Monroe, LA. He was a member of Cypress Street Church of God and a veteran of the United States Army having served in the Korean War. Mr. Wilson was retired from the State of Louisiana Employment Office. He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Grace Bullock Wilson, son, Joe Kevin Wilson, parents Joe Warren Wilson, and Ester Coats Wilson, brothers, Arthur Wilson and Thurmon Wilson and sister Ruth Elmore.
Survivors include his daughters, Kimberly Trichel (Charles), Kayne Beard (Roman); son Jason Wilson (Michelle); grandchildren, Nick Trichel, Charles Trichel, Lacy McCarthy, Adrianna Beard, Gavin Beard, Piper Beard, Chelsea Cagle, and Jarod West; five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Nick Trichel, Charles Trichel, Marlon Mitchell, Gavin Beard, Dale Morgan, and Butch Hattaway.
The family would like to thank Teresa Kennon, Michelle Pelton and Brenda Harris for the care that they gave to Mr. Wilson
