Joe Allen Green

Funeral service for Mr. Joe Allen Green, 80, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00PM Thursday, November 29, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe with Rev. Everett Geis, Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Green was born in Delhi on March 3, 1938 and passed away on November 26, 2018. He worked for Skeeter Boats, Starcraft Boats and was working now at Randall’s Fine Meats. Mr. Green was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Essie Green; wife, Margaret Ann Herring Green; son, Allen Scott Green; sister, Hazel Walker; and five brothers, Charles “Bud” Green, Robert Green, James Green, Melvin Green, and Albert Green.

Survivors include his two daughters, Lesia Cumberland of Biloxi, MS, and Linda Green of Monroe, LA; son, Chris Green and wife Theresa of Houston, TX; brother, Donald “Hoot” Green of Delhi; and seven grandchildren, Heather Jackson and husband Adrian, Brantley Cumberland, Brittany George and husband James, Krystal Bacle, Taylor Green, Bryce Green, and Maycee Green.

Pallbearers will be Randall Garvin, Larry McDonald, Mark Craft, S.J. Fontana, Wade Jackson and Sal Petitto.

Honorary pallbearers will be The Crew at Randall’s Fine Meats and Clayton Mayo, Johnny Fontana, Authur Earl, Jimmy Jenkins, Joe Cassidy, Tony Danna, Edwin Craft, Ken Slusher, G.R. Herring and Stuart Parker.

Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gamage of the Cancer Institute and staff for your special treatment and care. The family would also like to thank Randall Garvin for his friendship and support of Pop.
