Joanne Puckett Watson

Joanne Puckett Watson, 84, of Monroe, went to be with the Lord on December 14, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at Parkview Baptist Church, Monroe, LA. Dr. Lee McGlone, Rev. Charles Dupree, and Rev. Marie Fox will officiate. Interment will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday at Arcadia Cemetery, Arcadia, LA. Visitation will be held Monday, December 16, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Joanne is survived by her husband, James; son, Jimmy and wife Cynthia; daughter, Janis and husband Jim; 10 grandchildren, Kevin and wife Valerie, Kimberly and husband Gaines, Melissa and husband Patrick, Steven, Molly, Micah, Amy and husband Carson, LaDonna and husband Lucas, Sebastian, and Clifford; and 4 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Wendy, Celia Claire, and Noah.

Joanne was a graduate of Ruston High School and LA Tech University. She was a Certified Professional Secretary and retired from Graphic Packaging International in 1997. Joanne was an active member of Parkview Baptist Church in Monroe for 62 years serving as a children’s Sunday School teacher and nursery worker.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Micah Cain, Kevin Watson, and Steven Watson; and nephews: Doug Garrett, Jeff Payton, and Michael Payton.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care provided by Serenity Care Providers and St. Joseph Hospice.
