Funeral Services for Joan Christine Jordan Gates, 85, of Farmerville, LA will be held at 1:00PM Monday, April 13, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Gordon “Skip” Dean officiating. Interment will be held in the Cross Roads Cemetery.Mrs. Gates was born on May 19, 1929 in Margate, England and passed away on April 10, 2015 in Rocky Branch, LA. She liked gardening, especially growing her beautiful rose bushes. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Gates is preceded in death by her parents; Frederick and Elizabeth Jordan; brothers, Arthur Jordan and Frederick P. Jordan; and sisters, Betty Hughes and Vera Harvey.She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Henry Cecil Gates; children, Helen Gates, David Gates, and Christine Reppond and husband Ricky; grandchildren, Allison Reppond and Jordan Reppond; sister, Joyce Skivington; sisters-in-law, Mary Trout, Lucille Hollis and husband George; and numerous nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held from 4:00PM until 7:00PM Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
