Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Jimmy Lane Davis, 81, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at the White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ, 3201 N. 7th Street West Monroe, LA with Tommy Lindsey, Don DeLukie and Ken Stegall officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Davis was born on November 1, 1935 in Spearsville, LA and passed from this world on January 6, 2017. He spent the majority of his life in West Monroe, LA. Those who knew him know that he was a man of many trades, but his primary identity was always, man of God.
Mr. Davis dedicated his life to the Lord, to his family and to the love of his life, Pat, faithful wife of 59 years. He leaves behind four daughters, Diana (Dan) Ballenger, Lesa (Chuck) Weeks, K-K (Tommy) Lindsey and Amanda (Stephen) Jerkins; twelve grandchildren, Joseph, Jason, Kaylie, Leslie, Reese, Davis, Payton, Ryan, Patrick, Reason, Hollis and Sadie; and four great grandchildren, Maleigh, Chloe, Lowery, and Shiloh.
The family is so grateful for the love and support of friends both far and near, and sends a special thanks to the wonderful people at Glenwood Medical Center and Landmark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Davis’ grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Monday, January 9, 2017 at White’s Ferry Road Church of Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorial donations to be made to World Radio Gospel Broadcast, Jackson Street Church of Christ: Spanish Missions, or The American Cancer Society.
He loved us and made us all laugh, and we will continue to miss him until the joy of our Heavenly family reunion.
