Services for Jimmy Killingsworth, age 83, of Baskin will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 26th in the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. The Rev. Buford Brady will be officiating and burial will follow in Oak Grove cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Jimmy had been retired from Martin Bros. Box Factory in Martin, TN, since 1977. After retirement, he resided in Winnsboro on Milam Street until early 2009. He then moved to his ‘place in the country’ outside Baskin, where he maintained a large garden and enjoyed the company of family and friends. Jimmy was an avid fisherman, and loved fishing on Bushley Bayou outside of Harrisonburg. He hosted a crawfish boil and fish fry this last Memorial Day.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Marvel Killingsworth, his grandson Michael B. Killingsworth, and his brothers Lee Edward, Audrey, Buster, and Floyd, and his sister Ellen Lilly.
His survivors include his children, Diane K. Burtenshaw (Mike) of Rowlett, TX, and Jimmy Dale Killingworth of Clarksville, TN. His grandchildren: Jim Killingsworth, Susan Rittenberry, Ron Killingsworth, and Shane Burtenshaw. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, his sister-in-law Ada Killingsworth, and daughter-in-law Eun Koung Han.
Pallbearers are: Gary Lynn Killingsworth, Gary Killingsworth II, Ron Killingsworth, Jim Killingsworth, Randy Killingsworth, Buddy Wisenor, and Eddie Earl.
Honorary pallbearers are: Robert Lilly, Robert Campbell, and Larry Stephens.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, June 25th at Mulhearn Funeral Home--Winnsboro.
