Private Family Services for Jimmie Howard, 79, of West Monroe, LA, will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2020, with Bro. Jerry Burns and Glenn Lenard officiating. Interment will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in West Monroe, LA.
Mr. Howard was born March 24, 1941. Yesterday March 30, 2020, our church and family said goodbye to a very devout man of God. Brother Jimmie Howard passed from this world and entered Heaven. He was a long-time member of Prayer House of Jesus; he was one of the founders and builders of the church as well. He ministered, sang songs and prayed many prayers over the people through the years. Through the years he struggled with his health but pressed on and remained FAITHFUL the best he could. He persevered. He ran his race and finished his race. He told us several months ago during a Sunday morning service, God promised him spiritual legs and spiritual eyes. God kept His promise. Brother Howard gained his wings and will be forever missed by his family, church family and friends. We will see you soon my friend.
Bro. Jerry Burns and Bro. Jimmie Howard have been best friends for over 20+ years. They held tent ministries and revivals for many years. Jimmie was an assistant pastor at Prayer House of Jesus.
