Jill HammonsMulhearn Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA Jill Hammons, born March 19, 1954, Fort Worth, Texas, passed away at her home in West Monroe on August 3rd, 2015. Jill was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Hammons, parents, George and Ora Parks, grandparents, Henry Doss and Mattie Williamson, and sister, Donna Parks Admire.Jill leaves behind her brother, Brice Parks, brothers-in-law, John Hammons and Ernie Hammons, and sister-in-law, Lou Craig. She is survived by her beloved son, Aaron DeLong, daughter-in-law, Sheila Sundar, and their children Toshan, Amara, and Sajan. She is also survived by her daughter and best friend, Alicia DeLong, son-in-law, Jason, and grandson, Elliot, in addition to many cousins, nieces and nephews, and a very special Aunt Billie Haynes.Jill was an active member of The First Assembly of God church in West Monroe and the West Ouachita Senior Center, specifically in the crochet, painting, sketching, and The Red Hat groups. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies and dogs. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, collecting, and baking.Visitation will be Friday, August 7th from 5pm to 8pm at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. The funeral will also be at Mulhearn Funeral Home on Saturday, August 8th at 1pm with Pastor Christopher Miller officiating. Burial and graveside service will be Sunday, August 9th at 2pm at Pollock Cemetery in Pollock, Louisiana.Pallbearers are John Hammons, Matt Hammons, Ward Blackwell, Bill Davis, Dana Bass, and James Thom.
