Funeral services for Jewel Ann Templeton, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 27, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Templeton was born April 17, 1929, in Gilbert, LA, and passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018, at her residence. “Momadeaux” was a charismatic woman who loved her family and the Lord fiercely. She loved to watch football more than most and bowled a mean game while in a bowling league in years past. She shared her love through her talent of cooking, which inspired three of her five children to become restauranteurs. We celebrate Momadeaux’s life as she inspired each of us…
Survivors include her children, Tem Templeton, David Templeton, Stephen Templeton, Charlotte Bentley, Lola Beth Pokorny, and Ronald Mason; grandchildren, Brandon Bell, Leslie Bell, Andrew Templeton, Jade Britney Templeton, Taylor Draughn, Matthew Pokorny, Erica Johnson, and Diedra Mason; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Ruby Browning.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Bell, Matthew Pokorny, Andrew Templeton, Kenneth McCoy, Michael McCoy, and Sheriff Jay Russell.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
