Jesse Vincent Roberts

Funeral services for Jesse Vincent Roberts, 77, of Monroe, will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Swartz First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Smart officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Mr. Roberts passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at St. Francis Medical Center.  He was a retired Quality Control Manager from James Machine Works and a U.S. Army veteran.  He was also a devoted member of Swartz First Baptist Church. 
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his wife, Mauricette M. Roberts; and parents, Willie and Jessie Roberts.
Survivors include his son, Harold Roberts and wife Deina of Monroe, LA; daughter, Patricia Roberts Vangilder and husband Keith of Bryant, AR; grandchildren, Jessica Roberts, Andy Roberts, Caroline Roberts, Matthew Vangilder; and great-grandchild, Anniston Roberts.
Pallbearers will be Davey Roberts, Danny Wallace, Steve Roberts, Andy Roberts, Matthew Vangilder, David Wright, Jr., Lee Rainwater, and Scott Rainwater.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse’s Sunday School Class at Swartz First Baptist Church.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, December 28, 2012 at the church.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
