Funeral Services for Jerry Michael Jones, Sr. 75, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, July 8, 2016 at Watson Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Holloway officiating. Interment will follow in Jones Cemetery, West Monroe under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.Jerry Michael Jones, Sr. was born on November 22, 1940 in Monroe, LA and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 5, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. Jerry was a member of Watson Baptist Church and Cadeville Masonic Lodge #229. He enjoyed being in his garden and giving food to people in his community. He will always be remembered as a great man with good work ethics and morals. Jerry was a strong and loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Frances Marie Hoy Jones; parents, Thomas Rutledge Jones and Linnie Lee Frith Jones; and brother, Tommy Jones.Jerry is survived by his children, April Dawn Eldridge, Jerry Michael Jones, Jr. and wife Patti, Teresa Marie Booth and husband William, and Walter Keith Jones; grandchildren, John Michael Eldridge, Aaron Eldridge, Jesse Eldridge and wife Janna, Amanda Eldridge, Savannah Jones, Taylor Jones, Michaela Jones, Jerry Michael Jones III, Alexis Booth, Jared Jones; two great-grandsons, Lucian Eldridge and Haiden Jones; sisters, Gay Jones, Susan Jones and Eugene Mann, Peggy Jones and Larry Folse; sister-in-law, Mary Jones; special friends, Alton and Carol Downs, and Jack Oglesbee; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be John Michael Eldridge, Aaron Eldridge, Jesse Eldridge, Michael Jones III, Daniel Peacock and Dusty Jones. Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Peacock and Wendell Jones. Visitation will be held be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Watson Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Elliott and staff, Dr. Ron Hammett and staff, Dr. Barron and staff, MD Anderson, LA Hospice, Nurses, Janice Seagers, Laurie Majure and Alexis Bright. Also, to his sisters and Eugene for all the doctor and MD Anderson trips and thank you all for the prayers food and love from family and friends.
