Memorial service for Jennifer E. King, 75, of Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, Louisiana.
Jennifer “Jenny” King was born September 3, 1946 and passed away February 9, 2022. She was a retired Hospice Nurse and caregiver. She volunteered at a local nursing home painting nails and gossiping with her friends. She also delivered groceries to her friend that was living in an assisted living facility.
She was full of love and compassion and would help anyone in need. She was also a great cook and baker. Much of the food and baked goods were made for her friends and family.
Jenny graduated with a nursing degree from Charity Hospital in New Orleans. She then pursued a career as an ER nurse, then a flight nurse with Care Flight in Reno, Nevada. It was in Reno, Nevada that she received her Bachelor of Nursing from University of Nevada Reno.
As she slowed down in life, she chose to become a Hospice Nurse and give to those who needed her most. Being a hospice nurse was her passion and she was truly a giving person to her patients.
Survivors include her daughter, Cris Jeansonne and son-in-law, Todd Jeansonne; granddaughter, Gabrielle Jeansonne; siblings, Charles Epstein and wife Betsy Epstein, John Epstein, and William Epstein; Aunt Cherry Whipple; niece, Judith Epstein; and nephew, Thomas Epstein; and many numerous cousins.
