Graveside services for Mrs. Jeanne Bouissey Montgomery, 83, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Joe Puthuppally officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Montgomery passed away Sunday, September 28, 2008, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church. Mrs. Montgomery was a helping hand at Central Tower for over thirty-five years with her husband, Leo. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Leo Montgomery; her parents, Lawrence and Mildred Bouissey; and brothers, Kenneth, Donald, and Vernon Bouissey.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Montgomery Yarbrough; sisters, Kay Moomey of Monroe, LA and Norma Bouissey of Malone, NY; one brother, Edward Bouissey of Healdsburg, CA; her favorite (Gran-Dog) Sadie; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, St. Matthew Catholic Church, or to your favorite charity.
The family wishes to extend their special thanks to Dr. Russ Greer and nurses, Jason and Jill, at St. Francis NSICU.
