Jeanette Aycock

Jeanette Aycock was born January 18, 1932 and passed away December 19, 2022.

Mrs. Aycock was a member of First Baptist Church in West Monroe, where she continued her lifelong service to her Lord and Savior. She served her entire adult life as a Sunday School teacher and witnessed her faith to all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Lillian Jones; and her husband, James Glover Aycock.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer Aycock Sweeney (John Sweeney, former husband), Jeffrey Jamar Aycock (Sherry), and James Richard Aycock (Denise); eight grandchildren, John Adam Sweeney (Erica), James Zachary Sweeney (Sarah), Richard Gabriel Sweeney, Cori Lynn Aycock (Jeremy Cravens), Amy Lea Aycock, Laura Ashley Aycock Fawaz (Nadder), Sarah Kathryn Aycock Kersey (Sean), and Jeffrey Thomas Aycock; and twelve great grandchildren.

Mrs. Aycock’s family would like to extend their heartfelt and sincere gratitude to her granddaughter, Amy for her loving care and devotion to her grandmother over the past year during her illness. Also, a special thanks to Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care of Monroe for their excellent care they have provided over the past 9 months.

A private family graveside service was held on Wednesday, December 21, 2022. A memorial service will be announced at a future date.
