Jean M Koserog

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean M. Koserog, 96, of West Monroe, LA, will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Chris Winterman officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe.

Mrs. Koserog was born October 27, 1926 and passed away on January 19, 2023. She was a member of First United Methodist Church West Monroe. Mrs. Koserog worked for Humphries Insurance Agency and then Scott Insurance Agency. She enjoyed playing bridge, fishing, sewing, decoupage, reading, eating out, and spending time with family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Mitchell and Ruby Sawyer Mitchell; sister, Eleanor Craig; son-in-law, William Mark Elkins; and her husband, Edward F. Koserog.

Survivors include her son, Charles Edward “EK” Koserog and his girlfriend, Trudy Harkness; daughter, Kathy Koserog Elkins; three grandchildren, Charles Edward “Charlie” Koserog, Jr. and wife Nicole, Emily Treppendahl and husband Wettlin; Katherine Elkins; five great-grandchildren, Charles Edward “Tripp” Koserog, III., Everett Michael Koserog, and Kayce Duke Koserog, A. Wettlin Treppendahl, IV. and William Treppendahl; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends; and adopted son, Glen Everette George and his son, Curtis Anthony George.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to her Bridge Club members for their love and friendship for many years and the staff of Glenwood Regional Medical Center, especially the ICU staff.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jarrod Sellars, Tommy Hays, Mark Smith, Steve West, Mark Etier, Ross Cagle, and Jerry Silmon.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, January 22, 2023, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
