JC Ainsworth

Funeral services celebrating the life of JC Ainsworth, 87, of Rocky Branch, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, August 19, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Paul Pearson officiating. The interment will follow immediately after at Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service.

Mr. Ainsworth was born on May 10, 1937, in Nebo, Louisiana and went to be with his Lord and savior Jesus Christ on August 13, 2024, in Shreveport, Louisiana.

JC was a husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother who loved his family fiercely. He worked for Olinkraft for forty plus years as an electrician before his retirement. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was a long-time member of Nip N Tuck Hunting Club. He loved Christ and was a founding member of Rocky Branch Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-three years, Shirley Ainsworth; parents, Rudolph and Lessie Ainsworth; and daughter, Terri Ainsworth.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lera Ainsworth; children, Chris Ainsworth, Cindy Ainsworth, and Jonathan Ainsworth; stepdaughter, Lera Beall and her husband, Kenny; sisters, Estelle Cripps and her husband, Bud and Gwen A. Cloud; As well as a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members. 

The pallbearers will be Wayne Donaldson, Allen Pace, Jerre; Gates, Kris Finkbeiner, Ronald Gene Gates, and Mike Finkbeiner.
