Memorial services for Jason Matthew Lawrence Elliott, 17, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, August 8, 2016, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, with Bro. Gene Elliott officiating. Matthew died Thursday, August 4, 2016, in Monroe, LA. Matthew was a beautiful soul who loved to make people smile. He warmed the hearts of all he came in contact with, from friends and family, to his customers at Brookshires and even those who just knew of his story. Although he faced many trials in his short life, he persevered to regain his life without complaint and he lived his life to the fullest. He was often described as 'such a good kid'. He had a peaceful, precious soul that was too great for this world. He will be missed forever. Fly high, beautiful boy. Matthew was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Vincent R.
