Funeral Services for Janice Annette Welch Hanchey, 80, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Otis Lenoir officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe.
Janice was born on September 7, 1938 in West Monroe, LA and passed away on August 23, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was a teacher for many years at Sherrouse Elementary, after her retirement, she was employed at Louisiana Parts and Supply Company. Janice loved to cook and serve others. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Susan “Bea’ Welch; sister, Bobbye Farmer.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Jesse Hanchey; daughters, Jackie McDougle and husband Billy; and Jenny Franklin; grandchildren, Ashlee Boyd, Trey McDougle and wife Crystal, Austin Franklin, and Addison McDougle and fiancé Natasha Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Boyd, Mackensie Boyd, Kiley McDougle, and Carter McDougle; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Billy McDougle, Addison McDougle, Trey McDougle, Austin Franklin, Tom Graff and Bryan Graff.
Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Monday, August 26, 2019 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
