Jane Halan Rand

A memorial mass for Mrs. Jane Halan Rand will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd., Monroe.

Jane Halan Rand went to meet her heavenly Father on April 25, 2025, at the age of 83. Jane was born on March 26, 1942, to John and Ruth Halan in Cleveland, OH. Jane was the second of six children. After graduating from High School, Jane worked as a secretary at Hattenbach Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Company for 12 years and for Eaton Corporation as Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Manufacturing for 14 years.

Jane enjoyed cooking and hosted many dinner parties for her new friends in Monroe. She and Charles enjoyed traveling and visited many U.S. and Canadian National Parks. She especially enjoyed Alaska and the Canadian Rockies. They also enjoyed attending the Pierce Arrow events and made many friends throughout the United States.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, John and Ruth Halan; sisters, Doris Steitz and Ruth Jerdonek; and nephew, Michael Steitz.

Jane is survived by her siblings, Laurie Halan, Mary Ann Halan and John Halan; nieces and nephews, David Steitz (Barbara), Jennifer Halan Sqauare (Ryan), Brian Halan (Simone), and Lindsey Jerdonek; stepchildren, Christy Arango, Chuck Rand, Wade Rand and Ann May; great nieces and nephews, Megan Nickel (Benedikt), Ian Steitz, Morgan Steitz, Matthew Steitz, Nicholas Square, Skylar Square, Luke Halan, and Isla Halan; and great great niece, Olivia Nickel.
