A memorial graveside service for Jane Rooks Cohn, 97, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, with Rev. Lloyd Nathaniel “Nat” Barnett and Dr. Darrell W. Cluck officiating, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Mrs. Cohn was born on September 2, 1927, in Albertville, AL, and passed away March 17, 2025. She was a member of St. Marks Methodist Church in Monroe.

The owner of a successful small business and the mother of six children, Jane Cohn was an accomplished multi-tasker, long before that term was ever invented. Energetic, principled, dynamic and creative, she will not be forgotten.

Mrs. Cohn's family wishes to thank Laurean Burrell and her family for their devotion and attentiveness, Rev. Nat Barnett and the loyal and supportive members of St. Marks Methodist Church, Dr. David A. Yarbrough, and the medical and support staff of St. Francis Medical Center for their exceptional care.

Mrs. Cohn is preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Cohn, Sr.; son, William Allen Cohn; daughter, Susan Cohn Midyett; and stepson, Henry J. Cohn, Jr.

Survivors include her children: Patricia Cohn (Darrell), David Cohn (Linda), Michael Cohn (Lori) and Joanna Cohn McMullen (Freddie); grandchildren: Brian Cohn (Jenny), Matt Cohn (Ainsley), Natalie Cohn Hart (Franklin), Joseph Cohn, Jacob Cohn, Amanda Castello (Vardell), Hannah Midyett LeJeune (Brian), Daniel Midyett (Amy), Anna McMullen (J.D.), and Mary McMullen; and great grandchildren: Meredith Cohn, Brannon Cohn, Caroline Cohn, Grant Cohn, Everett Cohn, Phillip Hart, Patrick Hart, Madeline Castello, Seth Castello, Dennis Castello and Maxwell Smith.
