Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mr. Jamie Scott Mims, 42, of Downsville, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 3, 2020 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Jerry Fletcher officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Jamie was born on January 27, 1978 and passed away on November 29, 2020. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, and fish. He also was a volunteer Fireman with the Ward 5 Rogers Station in Downsville, LA. Jamie was a devoted son, father, brother and friend who never turned down the opportunity to help those in need. He was Mamaw Goose’s Boy. Jamie is preceded in death by his father, Charles Ray Mims; paternal grandfather, Murrill Ray Mims; maternal grandfather, Robert “Bud” Allen; and his uncle, Gregory Mims.

Survivors include his mother, Dianne Allen, and Brett Martin; daughter, McKenzie Mims; brother, Jason Mims and wife, Laura; maternal grandmother, Johnnye McKeithen and husband, Jake; paternal grandmother, Shirley Mims; nephew, Grayson Mims; niece, Abby Grace Mims; wife, Missy Mims and her daughter, Courtney McCurdy and grandson, Gabriel; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Grayson Mims, Jeffery Giovingo, Jason Baker, Michael Mims, Ashley Bailey, and Michael “Catfish” Crain. Honorary Pallbearers will be the members of the Ward 5 Rogers Station Fire Department.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until Service Time on Thursday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
