James Daryl Wilson

Mr. James Daryl Wilson, 53, of Searcy, AR, formerly of Monroe, LA departed this life on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, in Searcy, AR. He was born June 13, 1971, in Monroe, LA to James A. Wilson and Linda Huckabee Wilson.

Daryl worked in the construction field and was a backhoe and bulldozer operator. He was a member of the Holly Springs Church of Christ in Searcy, AR. Daryl loved his family, his friends, his home state of Louisiana, his country and his God. 

He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman something he learned from his “Daddy”. When he could no longer do these things, Daryl bought corn to feed the deer so they would come into his yard. He loved sitting and watching them, as well as squirrels, foxes, and any other animals that wandered by.

Daryl is preceded in death by his beloved father, James and his younger brother, Eric. 

He is survived by his mother, Linda, who has been his devoted caregiver during his illness and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.

His mother would like to thank Daryl’s special friends, Tommy Duchesne, Roy “Bully” Duchesne, Ronnie Wyrick, and Faith Wilson, who kept in touch with him during his illness. Their calls and texts meant so much to him. She would also like to thank Daryl’s aunt and uncle, Diana and Lynn Smith for their constant love, help and support..

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 4, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA, with Don DeLukie officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, LA.
