Funeral Services for James W. Shows, 84, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2020, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA, with Pastor Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Shows was born January 13, 1936, in Delhi, LA and passed away July 9, 2020. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a mechanic for numerous years. Mr. Shows attended Grace Baptist Church in Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Eula Shows; sister, Jean Davis; brothers, Joe and Alvin Shows: five daughters, Janice Shows, Marilyn Gross, Barbara Shows, Joyce Shows and Lois Shows; granddaughter, Daniela Hemphill; and grandson, Derrick Shows.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Betty Shows; children, James D. Shows and wife Dana, Theresa Hemphill and husband Damon, Carolyn Abshire and husband Warren, Susie McQuillin and husband Lane, and James W. Shows, Jr. and wife Leah; sisters, Doris Culpit, and Shirley Bridwell; brother, William Shows; and numerous grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher McQuillin, Shane McQuillin, Timothy McQuillin, Bruce McQuillin, Samuel Gross and Michael Guice. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dylan Shows.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Sunday, July 12, 2020, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.
