James Thomas Adcock, Sr.Graveside services for James Thomas Adcock, Sr., 81, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 12, 2015, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Rusty Vaughan officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe. Mr. Adcock passed away due to a long illness, Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at his daughter’s residence in Oklahoma. Mr. Adcock was a veteran of the Air Force for 20 years. He worked in the medical field as a lab tech until the age of 65, retired, and began working as a caregiver. Mr. Adcock was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Mary Ann Adcock; father, Elmer Thomas Adcock; his mother, Jessie Beatrice Turner Adcock; and two brothers, Herschel Adcock and Harry Adcock.Survivors include his children, Rusty and Stephanie Vaughan, of Monroe, LA; Tilford and Janet Carter, of Aline, OK; Carl Adcock and fianc, Jeanette Wynn; and James Adcock, Jr., and fianc Benee Vallery; 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2015, at Mulhearn Funeral Home of Monroe.
