Funeral services for James Roy Adams, 56, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2017, in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Adams was born September 1, 1960 in Ferriday, LA and passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. He was a graduate of Ouachita Parish High School and Northeast Louisiana University (currently ULM). James was a computer technician for the Ouachita Parish School System and a member of North Monroe Baptist Church.
Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Lane Adams; father, Joseph Adams; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Marge and Charles Lane.
Survivors include his children, Cassady Lane Adams and James Roy “Chip” Adams, II; mother, Judith Adams; sister, Janna Adams Currie and husband Don of Memphis, TN; brother, Jeffrey Adams of Alexandria, LA; nephews, Aaron, Christian, Kyle and Zachary Adams, and Bradley Currie.
Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 until service time at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
