James B. "Jimmy" Prewitt

A Celebration of Life for Mr. James B. “Jimmy” Prewitt, 73, of Monroe, LA, will be held from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Swartz First Baptist Church. The family would like everyone to bring their favorite flower to the service to place in a tribute vase in honor of our Dad and PawPaw.

Mr. Prewitt was born April 12, 1951, and passed away on October 30, 2024. He attended Swartz First Baptist Church. He retired from Delta Regional Medical Center after 40+ years of service. Jimmy enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, and antique shopping. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Rosie Alford Prewitt; and brother, Foster Ezell Henderson.

Survivors include his children: Felicia Nicole Traweek and husband Jason, Ben Prewitt and wife Joey, Sara Beth Allen and husband Reggie; eight grandchildren, Jane Claire, Dakota, Sam, Kayson, Aubrey, Ava, Kaden, Sawyer, Axel; one great grandson, Jude; sister, Fran Garris; brother, Frank Prewitt and wife Charmaine; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Billy Branch and the staff of Louisiana Hospice and Palliative Care.
