Funeral services for James Patrick “Jiggs” Finn, 91, will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, El Dorado, AR with Rev. Mark Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Cemetery at El Dorado, AR.

Mr. Finn, a long-time resident of Monroe, LA passed away at home April 26, 2010, after an extended illness. Mr. Finn, a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, had a successful career in the oil business, retiring both from Murphy Oil and International Matex of New Orleans.

Mr. Finn, who was proud of his Irish heritage, enjoyed his family, church, cooking, and living life to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alice and Thomas Finn; brother, Maurice and wife Ethel; and his brother, Tom.

Survivors include his wife of sixty-eight years, Nell Smith Finn; children, Carolyn Howard and husband Chester of Granbury, TX, Mary Alice Robertson and husband George of Monroe, LA, Pat Esarey and husband Ron of Loganville, GA, and Tom Finn and wife Mary of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Kim Adkins Joski, Angela Hazzard, Robert Parks, Christopher Parks, Brad Robertson, Neal Robertson, US Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer John Cheatham, Patricia Cheatham, and Jamie Harrington; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 with a Vigil Wake service at 5:30 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
