James Michael "Mike" Gates

Funeral Services for Mr. James Michael “Mike” Gates, 55, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, July 27, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA, with Rev. Tom Lowe and Rev. Ottis Lenoir officiating. Interment will be in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Gates was born March 11, 1963, and passed away July 25, 2018. He was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe. He worked at KMCT-TV for 22 years and he loved spending time outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Gates.

Survivors include his wife, Renee Gates; mother, Mary Smith; aunts and uncles, Candy and Robert Gates, Janice Beard, and Verda and Walter Gates; sister-in-law, Heather Young; and many cousins.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
