James Michael "Mickey" Lofton

Funeral services celebrating the life of James Michael “Mickey” Lofton, 66, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM December 8, 2020 at Christ Church in West Monroe, LA, with Pastor Tom Lowe and Chaplain Matecki Nelson officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mickey died December 2, 2020, at Ochsner LSU Medical Center in Shreveport, LA.

Mickey was a member of Christ Church in West Monroe, LA. He retired as a captain with the Ouachita Parish Fire Department and was a deputy sheriff with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office. Mickey loved the outdoors spending time with his family hunting and fishing. For many years, he and his family had horses and enjoyed the rodeos around the state.
Mickey was preceded in death by his parents, J. T. and Katye Lofton; and mother-in-law, Barbara Sain.

Survivors include his wife, Angela Sain Lofton; Son, Beaux Lofton; Siblings, Kay Davidson (Ted), Connie Scarborough (Charles), Carmen Redden, Jody Lofton (Mary), Kim Johnston (Lonnie), and Keisha Sain (Curtis); Father-in-law, Rick Sain, Sr.; Brother-in-law, Rick Sain, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Kurt May, Casey Barton, Dewayne Massey, Kevin Puckett, Marshall Daniels, Glenn Cupit and Artie Beebe.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Ouachita Parish Fire Department Firemen and the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, December 7, 2020, at Christ Church in West Monroe, LA.
