James Thomas "J. T." Lee

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. James T. "J. T." Lee, Sr., 89, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Monroe, LA with Rev. Ben McGehee officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home. The visitation will be from 1:15 PM until service time in the mausoleum chapel.

Mr. Lee died April 19, 2024 at Ridgecrest Community Care Center in West Monroe, LA

J. T. was born on April 28, 1932, in Bosco, La, where he and his family were lifelong farmers. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being in the deer woods with his family. He served on the Ouachita Parish School Board, Louisiana Farm Bureau Board, Ouachita River Port Commission, and was a board member of the Rayville Producers Gin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emmit and Bessie Lee; and his niece, Cindy Abbott.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of seventy-two years, Mrs. Teddy Pipes Lee; son, Jay Lee and wife, Robin; daughters, Rev. Betty Swanson and husband, Ray, Linda Lee, and Nancy Villar and husband, Damon; sister, Mrs. Betty Crain; ten grandchildren, Emilee S. Hancock (Roger), Raymond Swanson, Amanda Swanson, Josh Hodge (Christie), Amber Lee Barnett, Jake Lee, J. C. McKay, Sonny McKay, Christi Alexander (Todd), and Navy Villar; eleven great grandchildren, Cody, Ava, Dane, John Davis, Ella, Maverick, Behr, Arlea, McKenzie, Mallory and Rachel; and several nieces and nephews.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Raymond Swanson, Josh Hodge, Jake Lee, J. C. McKay, Tom Calloway, Sonny McKay, Robert Robinson, and Shawn Willis.

Memorials may be made to the Lea Joyner Memorial Methodist Church in Monroe, LA
