Private family graveside services for Mr. James K. Hillhouse, 92, of Monroe, will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Hillhouse was born May 8, 1927 and passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at Christus St. Joseph’s Home. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. After his service, he started driving a truck for Wilson Food Co. for 33 years, then drove for Poly Processing for 10 years, then drove for Cardinal Health delivering nuclear medicine. He loved helping others.
Mr. Hillhouse was preceded in death by his parents, brother, T. C. Hillhouse; wife, Evelyn Cappo Hillhouse; stepson, Richard D. Wood; and daughter, Karen Lee Hillhouse.
Survivors include his daughter, Karen Hillhouse; son, James Lee Hillhouse; brother, John Elmer Hillhouse; cousin, Billy Kemp; and numerous nieces and nephews.
