Warren Eckhardt officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.J.V. was born on March 15, 1934 in Tioga, LA and passed away on September 17, 2015 in Monroe, LA. He loved to hunt and fish, spending time outdoors, and enjoyed working on cars. Also, he was an avid reader. J.V. was a Rad Tech for 50 plus years. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Wilhemina Leggett; and sister, Bettye Leggett.Survivors include his wife, Ruth White Leggett; sons, Kenneth Leggett and Michael Leggett; two step-children, Dana White and Derek White; grandchildren, Chad Leggett, Shane Leggett, and Aly Leggett; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Hunter Leggett; sister, Rae Creed; brother, Robert Leggett; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.Memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home.Online Registry/Condolences: www.mulhearnfuneralhome.com
