Funeral services for Mr. James H. “Coon” Arnold, Jr. of Dubach, LA will be 11:00a.m. Friday, November 29, 2019 at Bethany Baptist Church in Newellton with Rev. Jamie Bird officiating. Interment will follow at Legion Memorial Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro. Visitation will be from 10:00am until time of service Friday at the church.

Mr. Arnold was born March 5, 1942 in St. Joseph, LA and passed from this life on November 26, 2019 in Ruston, LA at the age of 77. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also known for his sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to all who met him. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James Arnold, Sr. and Juanita Ezell Arnold; one daughter, Kimberly Arnold; one granddaughter, Adrian Hope Ryals; two brothers, Roy and Ray Arnold; and one sister, Catherine Carr.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carolyn Arnold of Dubach, LA; his children; Angela Brown and husband, Mike of Bernice, Amy Ryals and husband, Curtis of Epps, Karen Hardy and husband, Douglas of Dubach; his siblings; Bobbie Jean McClain and husband, Jackie of Newellton, Shirley Garner of Tallulah, Betty Bird of El Dorado, AR, and William Curtis Arnold and wife, Valerie of Hammond, LA; six grandchildren, Amber, Brittni, Jessica, Emily, Jodi and Allen Micheal, eight great-grandchildren, Bella, Kaitlyn, Connor, Gabriel, Zoey, Noah, Trey, and Sophie; also survived by a host of extended family and friends.
