James H. Bryant, Jr.

Funeral Mass for James H. Bryant, Jr., 59, of Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Sebastian Kallarackal officiating. Interment will follow at Start Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Bryant passed away peacefully in his sleep from complication from cancer on Wednesday, June 26, 2013. Jim worked for Brookshire’s for the past 35 years. He loved hunting, fishing, and Mardi Gras. Jim was a member of Robert W. Cretney Masonic Lodge #420. He was also a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Mr. Bryant was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alpha and Christie Green; and paternal grandparents, Horval Bryant and Bessie Britton.

Mr. Bryant was the beloved father of Robert Allen Bryant (Angela) and Holly Cecile Bryant; grandfather of Katelynn, Christopher Matthew, and Elizabeth Bryant; former spouse of Sharon Allen Bryant; son of James and Elsie Bryant, Sr.; brother of Sandra Gray (Tom), Michael Bryant (Krisan), and Louis “Tony” Bryant (Kathy). Also survived and loved by a host of nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins (especially P.J.), and other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Heath Long, Michael Fontana, Jeffery Albritton, Richard Reitzammer, William Blazier, Nicholas Gray, and Joshua Bryant. Honorary pallbearer is Mike Smith.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, June 28, 2013, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
