James Allen George

A memorial service celebrating the life of James Allen George, 83, of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Pastor Joseph Schwartz and Pastor James De’L George officiating. The visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of service.

James Allen George was born on January 18th, 1942, in West Monroe, Louisiana and passed away at Glenwood Regional Medical Center on February 3, 2025.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Linda George; son, Mark George; parents, Delaney “D.L.” and Mary Etta Blackmon George; and brother, Johnny George.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, James De’L George and his wife, Rhonda; daughter, Twila Traweek and husband, Jamie; sisters, Judy Carpenter and Annie Sanderson; two grandsons, Ryan Traweek and Seth Traweek; two granddaughters, Rebekah George and Jo Hannah George; two great granddaughters, Collins Traweek and Elizabeth Traweek; as well as a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
