James Ellis Faler

Funeral services for James Ellis Faler, 82, of Monroe, will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Norsworthy and Rev. Sebastian Kallarackal officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Faler was born May 23, 1927 and passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010. He retired from Bell South after 34 years of service as a Manager of Installation and Maintenance. Mr. Faler was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bastrop.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Webb Faler and Lois Otwell Faler; and sister, Louise Faler.
Mr. Faler left college to enter the marines where he served 4 years. He married Doris Faler of New Orleans on June 27, 1949 and together they shared 60 years of married bliss.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Digby Faler; son, James Faler and wife Vivian; daughter, Madeline Faler Walsh and companion Joseph Campana; grandchildren, Brandon Stewart and wife Mira, James Ryan Faler, Justin Stewart; and one great grandson, Logan James Stewart.
Pallbearers will be Dean Blackett, Dennis Bratton, Cary Camp, Scott Kennedy, John Markaverich, and Dr. Benny Popwell.
Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

To Dr. Brookhouse and all the doctors, nurses, and aides at St. Francis Medical Center, you will be remembered forever in our prayers and thoughts. Your thoughtful care, daily concern, support, and love made our days easier. May God bless each and every one of you.
