Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. James Edward McLemore, 77, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Bayou Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, with pastors Jeremiah Andrews and Norman Bryant officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe LA. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Bayou Baptist Church.
Mr. McLemore was born in Columbia, LA, on November 26, 1944. He was a dedicated Director of Radiology Services at St. Francis Medical Center for 45 years. Mr. McLemore was an honest and hardworking man who loved his family, loved children, and loved to laugh. He was a founding member of the Bayou Baptist Church and loved helping with mission trips.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Ercie McLemore and Willie Mae McLemore; his brothers, Franklin and Carl; his sisters, Josephine and Virginia; and his grandson, Trey Jewell.
Survivors include his wife, Lynette Chisholm McLemore of Monroe, LA; his daughters, Kecia Murphy and her husband David Murphy of Monroe, LA, and Kim Breshears of El Dorado, AR; his son, “Jimmy” James E. McLemore II and his wife Angie McLemore of West Monroe, LA; his grandchildren, Josh Murphy and his wife Nikki of Monroe, LA, Leslie Andrews and her husband Jeremiah of Hattiesburg, MS, Trey McLemore and his wife Julie of Monroe, LA, Dakota Breshears and his wife Kristin of Monroe, LA, Dylan Breshears and his wife Mary Beth of Bastrop, LA, Brett Jewell of West Monroe, LA, Mitchell McLemore and his wife Ashley of West Monroe, LA, and Landrie McLemore of West Monroe, LA; his great-grandchildren, Austin Murphy, Mason Murphy, Miley Andrews, Presley McLemore, James McLemore IV, Dalton Breshears, Annabelle Breshears, Aurora Breshears, Karter Jewell, Kolton Jewell, and Elijah McLemore; his sister Blanche Hubbard and her husband Dale of Haughton, LA; his brother Ronney McLemore and his wife Marsha of Ocean Springs, MS; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Josh Murphy, Trey McLemore, Dakota Breshears, Dylan Breshears, Mitchell McLemore, and his great-grandson Austin Murphy.
Donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers.
