James E. Roberts

Funeral services for James E. Roberts, 74, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, July 26, 2012, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Rodney White and Rev. Gerald Brantley officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts died Monday, July 23, 2012, at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He was a building contractor and later after retirement was a school bus driver for the Ouachita Parish School Board Transportation Department.

Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by four sisters, four brothers, and one grandson.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Loraine Greer Roberts; two children, Charles Misita and wife Glenda of Delhi, LA, and Neldra Hisle and husband Paul of Little Elm, TX; one brother, John T. Roberts and wife Eva; two sisters, Clara Honercamp and Helen O. Boyd; four grandchildren, Chris Misita, Lisa Fisher, Missy White, and Brian Hisle; and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Don Tindal, Woodie Pickle, Chuck Poole, Caleb Pool, Skeeter Boyd, Ricky Walker, and Terry Wiggins.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe
